The Family & Medical Leave Act is a FEDERAL law that grants up to 12 weeks (60 work days) of UNPAID time off to care for an immediate family member, bond with a newly born or adopted child, or for your own medical use.  Note that this is yearly (NJ FLA is every 2 years) and can be used for your own illness (NJ FLA cannot).  It is typically recommended that this time be saved in case you need unpaid time off for personal illness.  Please see the Fact Sheet below and contact us for more information and questions.
